Welcome to my-quickbooksonline.com (“My QBO”). These Terms of Use help define our relationship with you as you interact with My QBO’s services. Understanding these terms is important because, by using My QBO, you’re agreeing to these terms.

My QBO Content. My QBO, the Computer Accounting with QuickBooks® Online book series, and supporting materials are owned by 5DK LLC, Intuit Inc., McGraw-Hill LLC, or our or their respective licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use My QBO content for your own personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these terms, but we retain any intellectual property rights that we have in our content. You may not remove, obscure, or modify any of our branding, logos, or legal notices. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend My QBO content and any services or materials we provide.

User Content. My QBO may contain forums, communities, or other interactive services that allow you to submit, post, or otherwise make your content publicly available. You have no obligation to share any content. If you choose to submit content, please make sure that you have the necessary rights to do so and that the content is lawful.

You remain the owner of any content that you submit to us, so we need your permission if your intellectual property rights restrict our use of your content. You provide us that permission through a limited-purpose, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license. This allows us to host, publish, and display the content that you submit. If you remove any content that is covered by this license, then My QBO will stop making that content publicly available within a reasonable amount of time.

We may review content to determine whether it is illegal or violates these terms, and we may remove or refuse to display content that we reasonably believe violates our policies or the law. That said, My QBO does not undertake to review all material before it is posted and disclaims any liability with respect to user-submitted content.

Other Content. My QBO may contain links to other websites or resources provided by third parties for your convenience. We have no control over third-party links. If you decide to access any third-party links, you do so at your own risk and subject to the applicable terms of use for such websites. The views expressed in third-party content are theirs and don’t necessarily reflect My QBO’s views.

Results Not Guaranteed. In preparing this publication, the author ("Author") has taken every effort to ensure that the Computer Accounting with QuickBooks Online materials and related websites (“Materials”) are as comprehensive as possible and designed to assist you in preparation of the QuickBooks Online User Certification examination and QuickBooks Online Accountant Certification examination. Your level of success in passing or achieving a particular score on any examination, however, is dependent upon a number of factors including your knowledge, ability, dedication and time spent preparing for such an examination. Because such factors differ among individuals, and changes may occur with respect to examinations after the publication of the Materials, the Author cannot and does not guarantee your success on any examination including, without limitation, the QuickBooks Online User Certification examination or QuickBooks Online Accountant Certification examination.

MY QBO DOES NOT WARRANT, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS, ANY WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE CONTENT OR THE FEATURES OF OUR SERVICES, INCLUDING THEIR ACCURACY, ADEQUACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR ABILITY TO MEET YOUR NEEDS.

Limitation on Liability. To the fullest extent provided by law, in no event will My QBO be liable for any consequential, indirect, punitive, special, or incidental damages, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising out of or relating to these terms or your use or inability to use My QBO, your reliance upon My QBO content or user content, whether based in contract, tort, statutory, or other law. Our total cumulative liability arising out of or related to your use of My QBO will not exceed $20 or the fees paid to My QBO in the 12 months before the dispute.

Governing Law. Missouri law will govern all disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or any related services or content, regardless of conflict-of-laws provisions.
